TOUR DU MONT BLANC - 2007 - CHAMONIX

 JUNE 15

The morning starts with a lots of cloud and wind. Freddy meets with us for breakfast. During last night almost a meter of snow felt on the mountain. We check with the local guide office. The guides tell us that the conditions on the mountain are very dangerous and climbing is not possible until the snow settles. This usually takes 2-3 days. Our flight is booked for the morning of June 17 and it cannot be changed. I have no choice but to forget the climb.

We say good bye to Freddy. Thank you for this wonderful tour. Thank you the memories that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. Let's hope that we will get a chance to climb again in the not too distant future.

In the early afternoon we take time to explore the hidden corners of Chamonix that we've missed before.
