After the success on Aconcagua, I
am determined to continue my quest. It is too late to go back to
Everest, but it is a good time to finally settle the score with my 2003
nemesis - Denali.
Wynn
Morgan, my buddy from Cho Oyu is planning a private trip to Denali and has asked me to join
him. Cho Oyu was by far my best expedition and mostly because of
Wynn. For this trip to Denali, Wynn invites a student of his, Cypriot Costas Andreou.
My timing as always is very bad.
Instead of concentrating on my trip and spending more time at the gym
trying to get my form back, I am working practically around the clock
preparing a master plan for a large resort on Bermuda. The work takes so
much of my time, that I barely have enough left to take care of the most
essential preparations. Luckily Wynn agrees to help me.
The Bermuda project is not moving
as well as I would like it. As a result I am very tired and frustrated when
I begin my journey to Anchorage on June 3.
Wynn and Costas join me on June 4.
We spend the whole day sorting the gear and buying food for the trip.

The next day we travel to Talkeetna.
That same afternoon we fly with Talkeetna Air Taxi to Base Camp.
